When women suffer, so does everyone around them.

The Hologic Global Women’s Health Index reveals the state of women’s health on a global scale.

Only 11% of women said they had been tested for any type of cancer in the past 12 months.

More women said they are sad, angry and worried now than three years ago, at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

More women said they are in pain now than three years ago. Nearly 1 billion women — about 1 in 3 worldwide — said they spent a lot of the previous day in physical pain.

About the Index

Hologic launched the Hologic Global Women’s Health Index — a multiyear, comprehensive global survey about women’s health — to help fill a critical gap in what the world knows about the health and well-being of the world’s women and girls. Conducted annually, the survey provides the most timely, globally comprehensive data from women’s perspectives on their health and well-being.
